At the end of January, my friend, Chloe, and I flew out to California for the weekend. I helped her second shoot a wedding in the Redwoods – which was such a great experience. We would always dream about one day capturing a California wedding.
We flew into San Jose on Friday morning, and flew home the following Tuesday. We had 4 days to see all we could of this beautiful state – and we definitely succeeded.
As soon as we got there, we drove to Santa Cruz and ran around on the beach while watching the most beautiful sunset. Saturday, we did some hiking – and got to experience our first time in the redwoods. Walking in the quietness of that forest with the sun peaking through the trees was all kinds of magical. We then decided to drive the iconic Pacific Coast Highway – which seriously blew me away. When we took our first pull over, I was not expecting to see the most beautiful view, but California did it again. Of course the trip also consisted of many stops at In-N-Out, being the huge burger fan that I am.
On Sunday, we shot the wedding – and you can find all those beautiful photos by following my dear friend Chloe Jane Photo! On our last day, we went into the city of San Francisco and ate some bomb pizza, and did the iconic drive over the Golden Gate Bridge. We then went to the gorgeous lookout called Battery Spencer, which made us photographers go mad because that wind and view was EVERYTHING. It was such an amazing trip, and I know I’ll be going back to see all the more beauty California has to offer.
