This day was certainly different than Nathan & Sara had imagined. With Sara being from the USA, unfortunately her family was not able to be at the wedding. Nathan also had to fly to Michigan and figure out the legal details in order for them to cross the border… which then followed with a 2 week quarantine just before their wedding day. Much to say, it certainly was not how they planned to spend the month leading up to their wedding day.
The wedding day took place at Nathan’s parents property. The ceremony & reception had to be moved to the barn last minute due to the weather, so in order to make the barn look “wedding” worthy, the groomsmen spent the morning hustling.
Nathan & Sara shared their first look on the front porch, which was the only covered area we could find. They then read letters to each other, which made us all shed tears.
As soon as we begun with photos, the sky cleared up & the sun was shining!! It was so perfect – the colourful bouquet, Sara’s smile, the sun, it was all so beautiful. Nathan’s grandpa also brought a red vintage car which made me giddy. I couldn’t wait to use it for some photos, and those are some of my favourites from the day.
After the ceremony we all celebrated with some poutine, and enjoyed the evening with some games & dancing.
As much as this day was maybe not what anyone expected, I can’t get over how it all came together. These two were just so happy to be married, that their joy & love for each other made the day simply beautiful.
Enjoy!
